Jermaine Johnson is a winger of Sheffield Wednesday. He was born on 25 June 1980 in Kingston, Jamaica.
In 1999, Jermaine penned a professional contract with Tivoli Gardens, but his career in the club could not be called very successful. The footballer had to watch a lot of games from the substitutes’ bench, which affected his moral and physical condition. In 2001, Johnson went on loan to Bolton Wanderers and took part in 12 fixtures for the team during several spells. From 2003 till 2006, the winger had several temporary spells at Oldham Athletic, where he netted nine goals in 39 games before returning to Tivoli Gardens and taking his tally to four goals in 40 matches for his parent club.
In 2006, Jermaine transferred to Bradford City and fired four goals in 27 fixtures for the new team during one season. In 2007, the footballer put pen to paper of a long-term contract with Sheffield Wednesday and clinched a regular place in the starting line-up at once, which helped him to score 21 goals in 180 games for ‘The Owls’ as of February 2013.
From 2001, Johnson has been capped 69 times and contributed six goals for the Jamaica national squad.
