Jim McNulty is a defender, born on 13 February 1985 in Runcorn, England.
In 2003, Jim started his professional career in Wrexham after graduating from the academy of Liverpool side Everton. The footballer did not take part in any matches for the club during his début season and went on loan to Bangor City, where he made five appearances during six months.
In the summer 2004, McNulty put pen to paper of a contract with Caernarfon Town and netted two goals in 68 fixtures for the team during two seasons.
In 2006, the defender sealed a deal with Macclesfield Town and fired two goals in 41 games for the new club during two years.
In 2008, Jim transferred to Stockport County and found the net one time in 46 matches for ‘The Hatters’ before completing a move to Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer 2009. The footballer spent six months with the team and went on loan to Scunthorpe United, where he made three appearances during his spell, which was later extended till the end of the season. McNulty took part in another six fixtures for the club and returned to his parent Brighton and Hove Albion.
In the summer 2011, Barnsley secured the defender’s services and saw him become a regular, who chipped in two goals in 61 games. After a brief loan spell with Tranmere Rovers, McNulty switched for Bury in January 2014.
From 2001 till 2005, Jim was capped ten times for the Scotland national U-17 and U-19 squads.
