João Carlos Reis Graça is a defender of Beira-Mar. He was born on 2 July 1989 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Graça’s youth career started in the 2000th when he came to a try-out to Moscavide for the first time. João showed an excellent ability to play as a defender. (He plays on the left flank because he’s a left-hander). The coaching staff was satisfied with his performance so they offered him to join the academy of Moscavide. For many years João was the product of this academy where he not only learned all the details and basic knowledge about football but also began his professional career.
In 2008 Graça received an official offer to join the main squad of Moscavide. This meant that he would sign his first professional contract and would start a new and unknown way of life on a higher level of performances. João managed to cope with the pressure at the initial stage of his professional career and overcame small difficulties with dignity. After a season spent in the Moscavide first team where he made several appearances João Graça drew the attention of different Portuguese teams.
In the summer 2009 João Graça sealed a deal with Mafra where he moved for two years. During this period the defender took part in many games more than once helping his team to win difficult matches, which obviously added the points to Mafra in the championship making the club competitive.
In the 2011/12 season Graça joined Beira-Mar which plays in the Portugal Primeira Liga. During the season he either played on the pitch or stayed on the bench.
