Joaquín Larrivey is an Argentine center forward. He was born on 20 August, 1984 in Gualeguay.
Joaquín began his youth career at Huracán football academy. Larrivey’s skills and talent made him one of the most promising students and a number of Argentine clubs made bids in order to get the striker, yet Huracán management persuaded Joaquín to stay in the club, offering him a better contract and granting him a place in the senior squad.
Larrivey appeared in the in the Huracán first team in 2004. His career in the Argentine side included 3 seasons, during which netted 36 goals and made 99 appearances.
In 2007 the Argentine strikers penned a deal with Italian side Cagliari and featured in 95 matches for the club.
In 2009 Larrivey was sent out on loan to Vélez Sársfield and then to Colón, where he played until 2011. In 2012 he signed a new contract with Atlante playing in Mexican Liga MX. One year later Larrivey returned to Europe joining Rayo Vallecano.
