Jobi McAnuff is a midfielder, born on 9 November 1981 in Edmonton, England.
In 2001 Jobi became a senior player of Wimbledon by penning a contract with the club. The footballer performed for ‘The Crazy Gang’ during two years and a half, and amassed 13 goals in 96 matches. McAnuff made encouraging display and attracted the attention of various English clubs.
In January 2004, Jobi completed a move to West Ham United, as the club made the capture of the player one of its priorities and just waited for a suitable moment. The footballer spent only six months with ‘The Hammers’, because his level of performance did not correspond to the expectations at the moment of his transfer.
In the summer 2004, McAnuff signed for Cardiff City and played for the new club during one season. Jobi became the pivot of the midfield by making 43 appearances and netting two goals. In 2005, English side Crystal Palace decided to secure the services of the footballer and implemented their intention in the summer the same year. Jobi took part in 75 games and netted 12 goals during two seasons. His performance returned to the normal pace, became more steady and fully corresponded to the level of the country’s top division.
In 2007 McAnuff ended his Cardiff City spell with Watford move, where he spent two brilliant seasons. The footballer was let on the pitch 82 times, which was almost the highest possible number of matches in two years. Jobi managed to fire five goals in those games before finalizing a deal with Reading. The midfielder made 206 appearances and amassed 16 goals during five seasons with ‘The Royals’. In the summer 2014 he completed a move to Leyton Orient.
In 2002 McAnuff debuted for the Jamaica national team.
