Joe Bennett is a defender of Aston Villa. He was born on 28 March 1990 in Rochdale, England.
Joe’s youth career took off in 2001, when the young footballer came on a trial to the academy of Middlesbrough and successfully passed it. Bennett officially joined the youth system of the club and started to perform for one of youth teams. Joe was a trainee of ‘Boro’ during seven years and did not even think about leaving it. The footballer managed to get ready to the start of his professional career from 2001 till 2008.
In 2008 the defender penned his first contract. Bennett made only one nominal appearance for the club during his début season as the head coach decided to let him play in the first half of the match. The following season Joe featured in 12 games and gained better playing form. Later the footballer took part in almost every match of the club, being one of the pivots. Bennett made 85 appearances and netted one goal during four years with ‘Boro’.
In the summer 2012, the player sealed a deal with Birmingham side Aston Villa.
From 2009 till 2011, Joe was capped nine times for the England national U-19, U-20 and U-21 squads.
