Joe Mason is a striker of Cardiff City. He was born on 13 May 1991 in Plymouth, England.
Joe’s youth career took off in the academy of Plymouth Argyle in 2000, when the footballer started to perform for the junior squad of the club and took several steps towards the professional level. In 2009, Mason graduated from the youth system and penned his first senior two-year contract. He showed impressing performance during the pre-season trainings and gained the head coach’s confidence by making encouraging display in several friendlies, which were aimed at revealing the players’ skills. Joe netted ten goals in 53 matches for the team during two years.
In 2011, the footballer sealed a deal with Cardiff City and amassed 14 goals in 61 fixtures for ‘The Bluebirds’ as of January 2013.
From 2009 till 2010, Mason took part in six games and fired two goals for the Republic of Ireland national U-19 squad. From 2010, he has been capped three times for the national U-21 team.
