Joe Newell is a winger of Peterborough United. He was born on 15 March 1993 in Tamworth, England.
In 2000, Joe joined the academy of Dosthill Colts, but spent only a year there before completing a move to the youth system of Birmingham City. It took the footballer eight years to take his skills to a decent level, but he decided to continue his training in the academy of Peterborough United in 2009. Newell spent two years with ‘The Posh’ and gave a final touch to all the preparations for a professional start.
In 2011, the winger put pen to paper of his first senior contract with the club and started to make occasional appearances on the pitch, which helped him to gain the initial experience. However, after several months with Peterborough United, Joe went on loan to St Albans City in order to get more playing practice. The footballer took part in two fixtures for the team during his spell and returned to ‘The Posh’, where he took his tally to one goal in 37 games as of February 2013.
