Joffre David Guerrón Méndez is a right winger of Ecuadorian origin who currently represents Beijing Guoan. He is commonly known as Dinamita among his teammates. The footballer was born on April 28, 1985 in Ambuqui, Ecuador.
He commenced his youth career with Aucas in 1998. He impressed his coaches with eye-catching goals and it was no surprise that the talented winger made his senior bow aged 16. In 2004 Guerrón was snapped up by Argentinean outfit Boca Juniors. However, chances were proving difficult to come by at La Bombonera and the player opted for a switch to LDU Quito in 2006. The Ecuadorian international enjoyed a trophy-laden debut season in LDU Quito’s colours. In 2008 he helped his team land the Copa Libertadores, being voted as the best player of the tournament. At that time many European clubs were chasing the right winger. And finally, in 2008 he moved to Spain and penned a four-year deal with Getafe. The club’s fans caught the first glimpse of the Ecuadorian on August 21, 2008 in the league tie against Sporting de Gijón. He made a total of 14 appearances and blasted one goal for the club.
In 2009 Guerrón moved on loan to Cruzeiro. He spent the following season in Atlético Paranaense shirts. He was a pivotal figure for the club, registering 49 starts and scoring 14 goals. In 2012 the player signed for Beijing Guoan.
Since 2007 Dinamita has been representing his national team.
