A French footballer Johan Martial plays as a defender of Stade Brest. He was born on 30 May 1991 in Massy.
In 1997, he was spotted by Les Ulis and drafted into their academy, where he began training for soccer with a remarkable passion. In 2003, Johan joined Paris Saint-Germain. After spending three years at the youth department of the club, he moved to the academy of Antony Sports. There he had spent a year, before changing it for the youth system of Bastia. That was his final stop in the junior career.
The first professional contract was subsequently struck in the summer 2009. After signing it, Martial officially became the member of the team and made 29 appearances over the course of a season.
He remained at Bastia until 2011, but during this period he was loaned to Brest. Johan was supposed to earn more experience and gain better shape. During the spell for the temporary club, the footballer took part in seven matches and scored one goal. Despite the nominal number of appearances made, the head coach was impressed by the defender’s abilities and pressed the club’s board to buy him and so they did.
Johan also has a rich experience in playing at the international level. He was capped three times for the France U-18 national squad and ten times for the U-19 team. Since 2010 he has been called up for the national team at U-20 level three times. Over that period he was once lucky to find the net.
