Johan Wiland is a footballer from Sweden, currently playing for F.C. Copenhagen as a goalkeeper. He was born in 1981 in Borås, Sweden, and at the age of 16 joined Rydboholms SK, then switched to IF Elfsborg where he began his professional playing career in 1997. He made his debut appearance in May 2000, which was the match against Halmstad BK. During his stay with the club until 2008 the most prolific season was in 2006, when IF Elfsborg won the 2006 Allsvenskan and Johan Wiland the team making 26 starts and conceding 19 goals he kept 12 clean sheets.
In 2009, he moved to the Danish club F.C. Copenhagen and became the first-choice goalkeeper. In the 2010/11 season the team won the league title and Wiland was named the Goalkeeper of the Year. The following season was a success as well as he was called F.C. Copenhagen Players of the Year.
Johan Wiland represented Sweden at different youth levels and since his senior team debut in January 2007 he’s been a part of it.
