Jon Stewart is a goalkeeper, born on 13 March 1989 in Hayes, England.
In 2005, Jon was admitted to the academy of Swindon Town, where he got ready for a professional start, but the footballer’s senior career took off in Weymouth in 2007. Stewart made eight appearances during the 2007/2008 season and transferred to Portsmouth, where he failed to take part in any fixtures during one year and a half.
In January 2010, the keeper went overseas and sealed a deal with Alzira, but did not come on the pitch for the new club as well. In the summer 2010, Jon put pen to paper of a contract with Bournemouth and featured in four matches for the team during one season.
In the summer 2011, the footballer transferred to Burnley, which wanted him to be a third-choice goalie. In 2012, he went on loan to Alfreton Town and made 11 appearances for the club during six months. After the end of Stewart’s spell, the management of the temporary team decided to extend his contract until January 2013, and the keeper took part in 16 games during his second span. After a brief spell with Worksop Town, Stewart returned to Alfreton Town on permanent basis.
