Jonathan Cristaldo is a striker of the Argentina national football team and at Metalist Kharkiv. He was born on 5 March 1989 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
On 22 April 2007 Jonathan made his debut for Vélez Sársfield taking the field as a substitution in a match against Rosario Central where Vélez Sársfield were defeated by 0-2. Cristaldo featured during 37 minutes all in all.
In a match against Rosario Central Jonathan scored his first goal for Vélez Sársfield. In this match Cristaldo came on as a substitution and spend 45 minutes on the field.
In Clausura 2009 Vélez Sársfield gained victory. It became Cristaldo’s first trophy.
Jonathan came on as a substitute; however, he managed to appear in 14 matches scoring 4 goals.
On 8 January 2011 Jonathan arrived in Kharkiv together with Sebastián Blanco to sign a contract with Metalist. As a result Cristaldo signed a five-year contract taking number 21.
In the season 2013/2014 Cristaldo played on loan at Bologna.
