Jonathan Maidana. Biography

Jonathan Ramón Maidana was born in 1985 in Adrogué, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Currently he plays for River Plate.

Maidana graduated from Club Atlético Los Andes and joined the first team though soon left it for Boca Juniors. In the 2006 Recopa Sudamericana he made his debut in a 2-2 draw against São Paulo F.C. At the end of August 2008 he moved to Ukraine and joined Metalist Kharkiv where he played until 2010 until he was loaned to Banfield for six months. After that Maidana signed for River Plate where he still plays.

He represented the national team being a part of the U-20 team and also represented the senior squad.
