Jonathan Parr is a midfielder, born on 21 October 1988 in Oslo, Norway.
Jonathan’s youth career took off in the academy of Holmlia, from where the footballer moved to the youth system of KFUM Oslo. However, Parr did not stay there for long and joined the academy of Hauger, but the last years of his junior performance fell on the youth system of Lyn.
In 2006, the midfielder graduated to the main squad of the club and put pen to paper of his first professional contract. Despite Jonathan lacked experience and playing practice, the manager often let him on the pitch and gave him a chance to make both starts and sub appearances. The footballer featured in 11 games for Lyn during one season.
In 2007, a lot of Norwegian side teams took an interest in the young talent, but Aalesund beat off the competition from its rivals and secured Parr’s services on a long-term deal. The midfielder tried to adapt to the new level during his début season, and his efforts were not wasted, because he clinched a place in the starting line-up and became the pivot, who netted eight goals in 109 fixtures for the team during four years.
In 2011, Jonathan finalized a move to English side Crystal Palace and became a regular at once, which helped him to make 101 appearances for ‘The Glaziers’during three seasons with club. In the summer 2014 Parr moved to Ipswich Town.
From 2008 till 2010, the footballer took part in 18 games for the Norway national U-21 squad. From 2010, he has been capped nine times for the senior national team.
