Jonathan Reis is a striker, born on 6 June 1989 in Contagem, Brazil.
Jonathan spent the greatest part of his career in Dutch side PSV, where he started to perform after penning his first contract in the summer 2007. The footballer made 15 appearances and netted three goals for the club during two seasons. In 2009 the striker was sent on loan to Tupi, where he took part in 22 matches. After returning to his parent PSV, Reis found the net eight times in 11 games during one season. The footballer’s spell with the club ended with a scandal, because the management found out he was using forbidden substances. After having gone through rehab in 2011, Jonathan suffered a severe knee injury and transferred to Vitesse, when his contract with PSV expired.
Reis’s début for the new club came on 22 January 2010, when he came on as a second half substitute. On 27 June 2012, the striker penned a new contract with Vitesse till 2016. Jonathan made 38 appearances for the club and moved to a Brazilian side Bahia in 2014.
The footballer is a real scandals magnet. Apart from taking drugs, he was several times caught driving a vehicle with an excess of alcohol in the blood.
