Jonny Howson is a midfielder of Norwich City. He was born on 21 May 1988 in Morley, England.
In 1997 Howson joined the academy of Leeds United after a successful trial. He became a trainee and performed for the U-11 team for some time before joining the older squad. After nine years in the youth system, Jonny developed into a professional footballer.
His cherished move to the senior career came in 2006, when he penned a contract with Leeds United and managed to live up to the club’s expectations. The midfielder became the pivot of the team as soon as he clinched a place in the starting XI, and amassed 23 goals in 185 matches during five years and a half.
In January 2012, Howson entered the final stage of negotiations concerning his transfer to Norwich City. The Premier League club really needed to strengthen its team before the second half of the season and Jonny’s candidacy seemed to be rather attractive for ‘The Canaries’. That is why the footballer put pen to paper as soon as he could and started to perform for the team from the very beginning of the second half of 2011/2012. The club managed to take 12th line in the league table and secured a place in the top division of the country for the following year. In 2011 Jonny was capped one time for the England national U-21 team.
