Jordy Buijs is a defender of NAC Breda, who is also capable of operating at the position of a midfielder. He was born on 28 December 1988 in Ridderkerk, Netherlands.
Jordy is a well-balanced player with a wonderful game vision. Those qualities helped the footballer to join the academy of Feyenoord in 1995.
In July 2007, Buijs officially became a part of the club, as he penned his first professional contract. However, the footballer did not manage to clinch a regular place in the main team and was sent on a six-month loan to De Graafschap. Jordy gained confidence of the coaching staff in the temporary club and his services were secured on permanent basis in 2008. The player made 89 appearances and amassed ten goals for De Graafschap during three years and completed a move to NAC Breda in 2011.
At the age of 17, Buijs received a call-up to the Netherlands national U-17 team for the 2005 European U-17 Championship, where his squad made its way through to the finals due to the footballer’s assist in the semi-final match against Italy. Besides, Jordy and his team strolled to the bronze medals of the U-17 World Championship in Peru.
