José Antonio Reyes is a Spanish footballer playing a left-wing attacking midfielder for Sevilla FC.
His career started in this very club in 1999 but he didn’t manage to secure a place in the first team so for two years at the club he made only 2 appearances. But with time he won the manager’s confidence and got more time on the pitch. For the next 3 seasons he played 84 games having scored 22 goals. After such a success he became a transfer target for Arsenal where he moved in winter of 2004. Jose made his first appearance in a game against Manchester City where his team won. In 2 days he scored his first goal for Arsenal in the game against Middlesbrough.
Reyes spent 2 seasons in England with 110 appearances and 23 goals. The footballer became a champion of the English Premier League in the season 2003/04, also he was a finalist of the Champions League of 2005/06 and a winner of the FA Cup in 2005. In the end the club’s management made an exchange having sent Jose to Real Madrid on loan.
Being a Real Madrid player Jose Antonio won La Liga. Reyes featured in 30 games having scored 6 times with two winning goals.
In 2007 the player moved to Atletico Madrid signing a 4-year agreement. In 2012 he signed a contract linking him with Sevilla FC till 2015.
