José Ernesto Sosa is an attacking midfielder of Argentine origin.
Sosa began his football career in 2002 at Estudiantes. In the 2005/06 season the Argentinean showed good play and even helped his team to be promoted to the First Division. Diego Simeone, the team's coach, advised the footballer to join Lazio but Sosa preferred Bayern Munich and a 4-year contract was signed.
At the beginning of 2010 Sosa was released on loan to Estudiantes. In August of the same year the player signed a four-year contract with Italian Napoli. In July 2011 he transferred to Metalist signing a four-year contract.
In January 2014 Sosa was loaned to Atletico Madrid.
20 February 2007 is a very significant day for Sosa at the international level, when a match against the Mexico national team took place. The footballer took the field for the Argentina national team in the 86th minute. He is an Olympic champion of 2008.
