Joseph Mills is a back, born on 30 October 1989 in Swindon, England.
In 2008 Mills graduated from the academy of Southampton and penned a senior contract with the club. During his first season, Joseph was let on the field several times, but the level of his performance did not correspond to the level of the team. That is why the footballer was sent on loan to Scunthorpe United, where he spent a half of the 2009/2010 season and made 14 appearances.
After the end of his loan spell, Mills stayed in Southampton for some time and featured in a number of matches. However, in 2010 Joseph went on loan again, this time to Doncaster Rovers, where he took part in 18 games and netted two goals during a half of the 2010/2011 season.
In 2011 the footballer transferred to Reading and finalized a permanent deal with ‘The Royals’, which helped him to end with an uncertain position in Southampton and to become one of potential candidates for a place in the starting XI. Mills made 14 appearances for the new club during one season, which became a kind of a new start for the footballer, which could give him the place of a regular.
However, in the summer 2012, Joseph was sent on a season-long loan to Burnley. At the end of the spell Mills signed a permanent deal with the club but was loaned to Oldham Athletic and later to Shrewsbury Town. In the summer 2014 he penned a permanent deal with Oldham Athletic.
From 2004 till 2006, the footballer was capped five times for the England national U-17 and U-18 teams.
