Josh Carson is a midfielder of York City. He was born on 3 June 1993 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.
In 2009, Josh passed a trial and a demonstration game at the academy of Ipswich Town. The coaching staff was impressed by his performance and asked the young footballer to join the junior squad of the club. It took Carson one year to get ready for a professional start in the main team of ‘The Tractor Boys’.
In 2010, the midfielder penned his first senior contract and began to train really hard in order to correspond to the level of his skilled and football-wise teammates. Josh made six appearances during his début season and got on the scoresheet, but the following season was even more successful, because the footballer took part in 19 fixtures. By January 2013, Carson took his tally to 31 matches and five goals for Ipswich Town.
In 2013 Carson was loaned to York City and later on moved to the club on permanent basis.
The midfielder was capped for Northern Ireland at all junior levels from U-16 to U-21. In 2011, Josh received his first call-up to the senior national squad.
