Joshua King is a striker of Manchester United. He was born on 15 January 1992 in Oslo, Norway.
In 1998 King began his youth career. He joined the Romsås academy after a successful demonstration and the coaching staff included him in one of the youth teams. Joshua had been a trainee of the academy for eight years when other Norwegian clubs started to take their interest in the striker. In 2006 the Norwegian side Vålerenga bought the rights for King and transferred him to their academy, where the young striker spent two years. In 2008 Joshua attracted the attention of the English side Manchester United and joined their academy the same year. It took him another two years to gain self-confidence and be ready for a professional career.
In 2009 King was announced to play for the first team, but he came on the pitch neither that day nor any following day. In 2010 Joshua was sent on loan to Preston North End, where he performed for a year. The player was let on the field in seven matches but he didn’t score.
In 2011 the striker went on loan to the German side Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he played for six months. The Norwegian footballer made only two appearances and left for Hull City, the Championship club, at the beginning of 2012. During the second half of 2011/2012, Joshua showed a high level of skill playing 18 matches and netting a goal.
From 2007 till 2010, King was capped 11 times for the Norway national U15, U16, U18 and U19 teams and found the net five times. In 2011 Joshua made two appearances for the national U21 squad.
