Juan Jesús Calatayud Sánchez is a Spaniard playing for Videoton as goalkeeper.
He spent the start of his career at Málaga and moved on a half-season loan to Algeciras in the Segunda B and not having spent a single match for the club he returned to the Andalusian squad. He made his official debut in a lost game against Athletic Bilbao. The player failed to win a solid place in the starting eleven and was sent on loan to Getafe. After his return Juan signed a two-year agreement with Racing. Through two seasons with the side from Santander the goalie played only in 7 matches and then moved to Hércules. The signing was officially accomplished in July 2008 as the player penned a two-year deal with the Spanish side.
Calatayud was out of the squad only in one game in the championship of 2009/10 and was one of those to win promotion for his side (their first in 13 years) with the lowest number of goals conceded. The season in the Primera wasn’t successful and Hércules were demoted again but Catalayud retained his La Liga status joining Mallorca on a two-year deal. There he became a second-choice to an Israeli Aouate managing to play only in six games during two seasons with the Balearic side.
In the summer 2013 Calatayud complated a move to a Hungarian side Videoton and became the main keeper at the club.
