Jucilei da Silva was born on 6 April, 1988 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Jucilei’s football career started at GESB youth academy. In 2007 Jucilei joined Brazilian Ulbra, but soon moved to Malucelli, which is now called Sport Club Corinthians Paranaense. In 2009 the midfielder moved to SC Corinthians Paulista and was almost immediately included in the first team of the club. Jucilei made his debut for Corinthians on 10 May, 2009 in a match against Internacional. After that, da Silva was made a regular left midfielder at the club. For Corinthians Jucilei made 101 appearances and managed 6 goals.
On 26 July, 2010 da Silva debuted for Brazil national team at the request of Corinthians’ former head coach Mano Menezes, who is now Brazil national team head coach. Jucilei’s debut match for Brazil was a 2-0 win against the U.S. team. On 18 November the midfielder played in a match against Argentina, but unfortunately his team lost 0-1.
In 2009, as part of Corinthians first team, Jucilei da Silva won São Paulo State Championship Brazilian Cup.
On 27 February, 2011 Jucilei left Corinthians, after he was scouted by Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala. After passing a full medical examination and €10 million transfer fee he was signed on a 4-year contract by the club. In January 2014 Jucilei moved to an UAE side Al Jazira.
