Julian Schieber is a German striker, born in a German town of Backnang, the state of Baden-Württemberg.
Schieber started playing football in the youth systems of SV Unterweissach and TSG Backnang, based in his native town. In 2006 he joined VfB Stuttgart. Having scrambled through the youth (2006-2008) and reserve (the beginning of 2008) teams of the Swabians, Julian eventually got his place in the main squad of the club. In the middle of 2008 Schieber was already an established part of the first team. On 6 December 2008 the young forward played his debut Bundesliga match against Energie Cottbus, entering the game as a substitute for Ciprian Marica in the 80th minute. VfB Stuttgart won 3-0.
In the 2010/11 season Julian was sent on loan to FC Nuremberg to gain the necessary experience. The striker made 29 appearances and amassed 7 goals for Der Club. At the end of the season the German got back to VfB Stuttgart. In the 2011/12 he appeared in 18 matches and scored 3 goals for his main club.
In June 2012 Schieber signed for Borussia Dortmund. However, Schieber failed to make it to the main squad and moved to Hertha in the summer 2014.
