Julián Speroni is a goalkeeper of Crystal Palace. He was born on 18 May 1979 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In 1997, Julián joined the academy of Platense, where he spent three years and managed to reveal his talent, which helped him to give the final touch to all the preparations for a professional level. In 2000, the footballer put pen to paper of a senior contract with the club, but failed to make any appearances during the 2000/2001 season.
In 2001, Speroni transferred to Scottish side Dundee and started to train with the main squad, but the manager decided to take a risk and gave the goalie more playing time. However, he never regretted that decision, because Julián showed solid performance and clinched a regular place between the posts, which helped him to feature in 92 games for the team during three years.
In 2004, the footballer sealed a deal with English side Crystal Palace and quickly adapted to the new atmosphere. He became the pivot and took part in 267 matches for ‘The Glaziers’ as of February 2013.
