Julien Berthomier is a French defender born on 10 April 1990 in Grasse, France.
Julien started out his football grooming at his hometown side RC Grasse in 1997. In between 2001 and 2006, he played for the youth teams of ES Cannet-Rocheville and AS Cannes before joining a prominent top-flight club Nice. Berthomier made his professional debut for Nice in 2007 and was predominantly used as a backup player after that. Lacking first-team opportunities Berthomier moved on loan to Gueugnon for the 2010/11 season. In the 2011/12 campaign he had a short loan spell at Red Star from the French lower leagues. After that Berthomier returned to Nice and played there for another season. In 2013 Berthomier switched for a Belgian side Royal Boussu Dour Borinage.
Julien Berthomier earned a total of 15 caps to the France U15 and U16 teams in between 2005 and 2007.
