Julien Féret plays in the midfielder role for Stade Rennais FC. He was born on 5 July 1982 in the city of Saint-Brieuc (France).
The player began his youth career in 2000 when he joined Rennes reserve squad. Over a period of three years the midfielder featured in the reserve appearing in 49 matches and scoring 4 goals for the club.
In 2003 Julien continued his football career at Cherbourg where he frequently appeared in the starting lineup during the season. In total he participated in 24 matches and netted 2 goals.
The 2004/05 season Féret spent at Chamois Niortais. During the season he became one of the major team players thus taking part in all significant club matches. In a year the midfielder starred in 31 matches and scored 2 goals.
In 2005 the player received a call-up from Reims. He signed a lasting contract and represented the club until 2008. His appearance in the starting lineup was not accidental but predetermined by the manager before the beginning of the season. That is why Julien was acquired by Reims as a first team player. For three years spent in the club he participated in 96 matches scoring 33 goals.
In 2008 the striker continued his career at Nancy where he became the team’s mainstay. In three seasons the player appeared in the majority of club matches. In three years the head coach entrusted him the place in the major squad 120 times. Féret netted 21 goals for the club.
In 2011 the midfielder earned a call-up from Rennes that was ready to sign a long-term contract with him and offered to join their club on favourable terms. The player accepted the offer and signed a contract. Currently Julien plays for Rennes being the pivot of the major squad.
