A French footballer Julien Quercia plays for Lorient.
In 2005, the player joined Sochaux club from Ligue 1. In the 2005/2006 season, his debut took place. His first goal for the team was contributed in a match against Sedan on 19 August 2006. That happened two days after his 20th birthday. In the 2006/2007 season he became a French youth international.
On 30 January 2008, Julien moved to Auxerre, where he was groomed during 3 years. The 2007/2008 season was favorable for the Frenchman: he made 13 appearances and netted his first goal to Paris in a semi-final of the 2008 Coupe de France de football.
In 2008, Quercia made a good start by scoring 3 goals in 13 games. But he had to back off. A serious injury prevented him from going to the field up till November 2009, when he appeared in a game with Paris Saint-Germain. During which he got another injury and had to make another break in his career until he would be back to full fitness. In the 2009/2010 season, he came on the pitch 10 times, all as a sub. After the spell had ended, the decision not to extend the contract was taken.
On 27 June 2011, Lorient finalized a deal with Julien Quercia. He netted his debut goal for a new team to PSG on 6 August 2011. On the third day of the competition, the unlucky footballer got malleolar fracture, which kept him away from the field during three months. In December, immediately after full recovery, Julien sustained an injury again. That brought to an end his appearances for the team during the season. He returned to the game only in the summer 2012 during the exhibition match with Football Club de Nantes.
