Julien Toudic was born on 19 December 1985 in Caen, France. He is a striker of the French Ligue 2 side Lens.
When Julien was eleven years old, he joined the club Stade Malherbe. He made few unsuccessful attempts to stay at youth academies of Lemans and Lyonnais. The footballer had to make a pause. He didn’t begin his professional career until the 2005/2006 season when joined Caen and turned to be a real godsend for the club. He managed to score 7 goals almost from the very first appearances on the field. During the next season Toudic was lucky to find a net two times.
On 15 December 2008, Toudic extended his contract with Caen. But the change of the governing body entailed Julien’s loss of his position in the starting line-up. So he was sent on loan to Reims. He scored his first goal for the new squad against FC Nantes. In total, Toudic amassed 16 goals in 33 matches.
On 1 July 2011, a three-year contract was penned with Lens. His debut goal for the team was netted in the Coupe de France round of 16 in the match against Evian Thonon Gaillard. In 2012, he was again sent on loan to Reims. Together with the club he got promoted to the first division.
