Jussiê Ferreira Vieira plays as second striker for Bordeaux. He was born on 19 September 1983 in Nova Venécia, Brazil.
Jussiê began his professional career playing for one the greatest Brazilian clubs - Cruzeiro. The player impressed the club’s management; however, due to lack of experience on the professional level, he was not given a chance to play in the major squad for the first two seasons. Ferreira starred for the club until 2005 making 58 total appearances and scoring 13 goals.
In 2003 the Brazilian striker was given out on loan to Kashiwa Reysol from J. League Division 1. During the 2003/04 season he participated in 17 matches and netted 5 goals.
By the end of the loan Vieira returned to Cruzeiro, where he stayed until January 2005, when he was acquired by the first division club RC Lens for €3.5 million. The player signed a 5-year contract keeping him at Lens until 2010.
From the very start Jussiê appeared on the pitch in the major squad thus introducing diversity into the playing style of the team. Throughout two seasons spent with Lens, he featured in 68 matches scoring 13 goals.
In 2007 Ferreira was loaned to Bordeaux from Ligue 1. The player joined the team in January 2007 and at the end of the loan period Bordeaux management resolved to buy a Brazilian striker. After all formalities between the clubs had been settled, Vieira agreed to a lasting contract according to which he represents the club at present. In 2013 the player went on loan to Al Wasl from UAE.
