Kaj Ramsteijn is a defender of Feyenoord. He was born on 17 January 1990 in Zoetermeer, Netherlands.
Ramsteijn began to play football in local amateur DWO Zoetermeer, but moved to the academy of Feyenoord at the age of ten. After ten years in the youth system, then head coach Mario Been noticed the young player and offered him to join the main team on 23 January 2010. However, the management sent Kaj on a season-long loan to Excelsior at once, where head coach Alex Pastoor let the footballer on the field at the position of a central defender. Ramsteijn’s competitive début came on 2 October 2010 in the home 2-1 loss to Roda. The player netted his first goal in the game versus Willem II.
Kaj made 25 appearances for the temporary team during the 2010/2011 season and celebrated seven wins, which helped him to extend his contract with parent Feyenoord. On 8 August 2011, the footballer wore number 14 shirt in the away 2-0 victory over his former club Excelsior.
Ramsteijn came on the pitch only seven times for Feyenoord, because on 25 September 2011 the defender got a trauma in the match versus AZ and did not feature in any games during the rest part of the 2011/2012 season. In 2013 Kai had a loan spell with VVV-Venlo and later on with Sparta Rotterdam.
