Kamil Vacek is a midfielder for Chievo. He was born on May 18, 1987 in Ústí nad Orlicí, Czech Republic.
Kamil’s youth career started in 1993 after he entered the youth system of Sokol Dolní Dobrouč. After 5 years of playing for Sokol youth team Kamil received an offer to join the youth team of FC Rychnov nad Kněžnou, where he played until 1999. In 1999 Vacek moved to football academy of SK Sigma Olomouc, where he played for 6 years, until his promotion to the first team of the club.
In 2005 Kamil signed a professional contract with SK Sigma Olomouc and made his professional debut later that year by making a total of 9 appearances in the 2005/06 season. In 2006 Kamil was sent on loan to Arminia Bielefeld, where he featured in only 1 match during the 2006/07 season.
In 2007 Kamil signed a contract with one of the best clubs in the Czech Republic Sparta Prague. During 4 seasons, from 2007 to 2011, Vacek often appeared in the starting lineup of the Czech club, totaling 83 matches and 10 goals.
In 2011 Kamil moved to Italy after signing a contract with his current club Chievo. The head coach gives the young Czech halfback a plenty of opportunities to bring out his skills and potential which Vacek does, successfully proving his good playing abilities.
In 2008 Kamil Vacek made 2 appearances for Czech Republic U-21. Since 2011 Vacek is called up to represent Czech Republic national team.
