Kasper Hämäläinen is a Finnish professional midfielder currently playing for Lech Poznań in the Polish Ekstraklasa. He was born on 8 August 1986 in Turku, Finland.
Kasper began his professional career at his hometown side TPS in 2003 where he played for six years. His strong performances soon sparked interest of such top European clubs like Portuguese C.D. Nacional, Italian Roma and Lazio, Dutch side NEC. However, Hämäläinen joined Swedish club Djurgården in 2010. He shortly established himself as a pillar of the team. In between 2010 and 2012, Kasper made a total of 90 appearances for the club. In 2013, Hämäläinen signed for Polish team Lech Poznań and plays there today.
Kasper Hämäläinen featured for the Finland U17 and U19 teams. Since 2008, he is capped to the senior Finnish side. Kasper scored his maiden international goal in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier over San Marino. He scored a brace in a 8-0 win then.
