Katlego Mphela is a South African football player. He was born on 29 November 1984 in Brits. The player started his career in Early Birds. After changing a number of teams, including Arcadia Shepherds and Orlando Pirates, the forward moved to Jomo Cosmos where in 2003 he signed his professional contract. In 2004 Mphela joined the French club Strasbourg. He made 19 outings in the season 2004/2005 and later was given on a loan to Stade Reims.
In 2006 the forward returned to South Africa signing a deal with Supersport United. After two-seasons spell at the side in 2008 the player sealed a deal with Mamelodi Sundowns. In the season 2009/2010 the striker became the top scorer of the league.
In 2005 the forward made his debut for the national side of South Africa and since then score a number of important goals for the team.
