Keith Treacy is a winger, born on 13 September 1988 in Dublin, Ireland.
Keith’s professional career took off in 2006, when the footballer graduated from the academy of Blackburn Rovers and penned his first senior contract with the club. Treacy was not given much playing time, which entailed his loan move to Stockport County in 2007. The winger made four appearances for the team and returned to his parent Blackburn, where he took his tally to 12 fixtures before sealing a temporary deal with Sheffield United. Keith took part in 16 games and netted one goal for ‘The Blades’ during his spell.
In the summer 2010, the footballer put pen to paper of a contract with Preston North End and fired nine goals in 55 matches for the club during one year and a half, which drew the attention of various English teams.
In the summer 2011, Treacy’s services were secured by Burnley, where the winger took part in 24 fixtures and found the net two times before completing a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday. Keith kicked one goal in seven matches for the club and returned to ‘The Clarets’, where he took his tally to five goals in 66 games.
From 2008 till 2010, the footballer featured in four games and contributed one goal for the Republic of Ireland national U-21 squad. From 2010, Treacy has been capped six times for the senior national team.
