Kelvin Mateus de Oliveira is an attacking midfielder of Rio Ave. He was born on 1 June 1993 in Paraná, Brazil.
Kelvin is a product of Paraná youth system. Being a junior he succeeded during the try-out, which allowed him to get a place in one of the youth teams of the club. During many years Kelvin was improving his skills on Paraná training fields winning the favour of many people related to the youth academy.
In 2010 the attacking midfielder was promoted to Paraná’s senior team. Kelvin sealed a long-term deal with this club; however his talent didn’t let him stay in Brazil for a long time. During half of the season Kelvin was a regular in midfield for Paraná netting 3 times in 15 games. The Brazilian caught the eye of Porto and when Kelvin gave such an inspiring start in Paraná the Portuguese giant decided to buy him as soon as possible.
In January 2011 Kelvin penned a contract with Porto and then he was sent on loan to Rio Ave where he continued to unlock his potential of a top-level attacking midfielder.
