Kevin Davies is a striker of Preston North End. He was born on 26 March 1977 in Sheffield, England.
In 1993, Kevin put pen to paper of his first professional contract with Chesterfield after several years in the academy of local Sheffield United. The footballer netted 22 goals in 129 fixtures for ‘The Spireites’ and propelled them to the FA Cup semifinals in the 1996/1997 season. In 1997, Davies sealed a permanent deal with Southampton and fired nine goals in 25 matches for the club before completing a move to Blackburn Rovers. However, the striker found the net only one time in 23 games for the new team and returned to ‘The Saints’, where he made 82 appearances and kicked ten goals during four years.
In 2002, Kevin went on loan to Millwall and went on to net three times in nine fixtures for ‘The Lions’ during his spell.
In 2003, the footballer transferred to Bolton Wanderers and scored ten goals during his début season, including one goal in the League Cup finals. In January 2009, Davies wore a captain’s armband after Kevin Nolan left the club. The striker amassed 74 goals in 351 games for ‘The Trotters’ and left the club for Preston Northe End after 10 years of service. He is also known for becoming the holder of the record for most yellow cards in Premier League history.
From 1994 till 2000, Kevin took part in 11 matches for the England national U-18 and U-21 squads. In 2010, he was capped one time for the full ‘Three Lions’.
