Kevin Kurányi is a striker for Dynamo Moscow. Kurányi possesses a great finishing ability. He was born on March 2, 1982 in Brazil. At the age of 6 Kevin started playing football in Serrano. Aged 11, he moved to Las Promesas Panama, but after a year playing there, he returned to Serrano.
In 1997 Kevin left for Germany, to train in Stuttgart's B youth team. At the expiration of four years he penned his first professional contract. Kevin made his debut in the Bundesliga in 2001, holding five matches for the first team.
In the season 2002/2003 his career really flew up. He was on target 15 times in 32 starts and helped his club to take second place in the Bundesliga. In Total Kurányi appeared in 99 games and fired 44 goals for Stuttgart.
In the summer of 2005, the powerful striker sealed a five-year contract and moved to Schalke 04 for 6.9 million euros. Over five seasons with the club the striker scored 71 goals in 162 matches. He got his first run-out for the Germany national team in the qualifying Euro 2004 match against Lithuania. Kevin Kurányi performed in the final of the European Championship in 2004, but due to his poor form he was not called up for the 2006 World Cup.
In 2010, it was announced that Kevin was moving to Dynamo Moscow to continue his development. After signing the contract with Dynamo he has started to wear the captain’s armband.
Kevin Kurányi is the Vice-champion of Germany (2002/2003, 2006/2007), the German League Cup finalist (2007) and the winner of the German league (2005).
