A Moroccan footballer Khalid Sekkat was born on 12 May 1984 in Fes.
Spotted by Maghreb Fez, Khalid was a part of the youth team of the club for three years. In 2004, after penning a professional contract, Khalid joined a senior team of the club. In the second season he took his place in the starting line-up. In total, he scored 3 goals in 28 fixtures for the club. Then he moved to Wydad Casablanca. Together with the Moroccan club he was twice holder of the champion title of the Arab Champions League. He managed to become one of the team’s pivots after featuring in 122 games. Progress was evident and many European clubs got interested in the Moroccan footballer. Sekkat came down in favor of Reims, declining many other proposals. Over the course of the first season, he appeared 15 times for the team, mainly as a sub.
After a short run with Wydad Athletic Sekkat became a free agent in 2013.
What concerns his international career, Khalid Sekkat used to play for the youth national team of Morocco. Since 2011, he performs for the Moroccan national squad at the senior level.
