Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is a striker of German side Schalke 04 and the Netherlands national team.
Huntelaar was fostered in the PSV academy, where he excelled due to positive striker qualities. However, the footballer failed to establish himself in the first team and that is why he was sent on loan to De Graafschap. Klaas-Jan did not stay there for long and went to AGOVV on another loan. Huntelaar managed to amass 26 goals during the season and became the top goalscorer of the Eerste Divisie.
The player performed for Heerenveen, Ajax, Real Madrid and Milan, but recaptured the momentum of the youth only in August 2010 by joining Schalke 04. Klaas-Jan made his first appearance for the new team in September and immediately got on the scoresheet. Then he scored the winner in the match against Freiburg several weeks later. In November Huntelaar netted a double in the game against Olympique Lyonnais. He went on to net in each match of all five rounds of the Bundesliga 2010/2011. That was Klaas-Jan who helped Schalke 04 to stroll to the DFB-Pokal 2010/2011.
Huntelaar made his senior international début in 2006. Since then he has taken part in 56 matches and fired 31 goals.
