Koen van de Laak is a Dutch football player. He was born in Vught, Netherlands on 3 September 1992. Laak started his playing career in a local team Zwaluw VFC in 1988 at the age of 6.
In 1994 he joined FC Den Bosch where he progressed from the youth team to the senior squad, making his debut on 4 November 2000 in the game against Helmond Sport.
The midfielder spent several seasons at FC Den Bosch, yet in 2005 he penned a deal with Groningen, where he became one of the most significant players in the squad, taking the captain’s armband in 2010. Overall the midfielder stayed in the club for seven years, playing in 139 matches and netting a ball 24 times.
After the contract with the club expired he decided to continue his career in Ajax Cape Town.
