Konstantin Rausch is a German footballer of Russian origin who played for youth teams of such clubs as TuS Lachendorf and SV Nienhagen before striking roots at Hannover 96 in 2004.
He made his senior debut for the Reds on 30 March 2008 in a match against VfB Stuttgart. Overall, a promising midfielder scored 9 goals in 150 appearances during a five year spell at the club.
In 2013 Rausch joined Stuttgart on a free transfer.
A regular German international, Konstantin Rausch came up through the U-17, U-19 and U-21 youth ranks. He battled his way to glory with his winning a bronze medal in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup. After that, he was awarded a Fritz Walter silver medal as the second most prominent German footballer of his age. Konstantin admits that he would be glad to earn a call up to the Russia national football team but he hasn’t had a bite at the cherry yet.
