Konstantin Zyryanov is a midfielder of Zenit. He was born on 5 October 1977 in Perm, Russia. The footballer is a product of Zvezda Perm academy.
Konstantin picked up the bronze medal of the 1992 Russian Youth Championship. Two years later, he made his début for Amkar Perm. During his performance for the club, the footballer changed his position from a striker to a midfielder. Zyryanov made 171 appearances and amassed 48 goals for the team from 1994 till 1999.
From 2000, Konstantin started to play for Torpedo Moscow. The same year he won the bronze medal of the Russian Premier League. The footballer featured in 164 matches and found the net nine times for the club. From 1996 till 2006, Zyryanov took part in 26 Russian Cup games and fired three goals. He also made eight appearances and went on to net one time for Torpedo in the UEFA Cup.
In March 2007, the midfielder’s services were secured by Zenit St. Petersburg. The same year the footballer got on the list of top 33 Russian players. According to footballers, football media and coaches, Konstantin was the best Russian player in 2007.
In 2008 Zyryanov and his club lifted the 2008 UEFA Cup and the 2008 UEFA Super Cup several months later.
The footballer’s début for the Russia national team came on 27 June 2006 in the match against Spain. Konstantin was capped 52 times and contributed seven goals till 2012.
Zyryanov is a holder of the bronze medal of Euro 2008 – his tournament tally numbers five games and a winner in the match against Greece.
