Korey Smith is a midfielder, born on 31 January 1991 in Hatfield, England.
In 2007 Korey joined the academy of Norwich City after training in various youth systems of the country. He had to pass a final training before becoming a professional footballer.
In 2008 Smith was 100% ready to take off as a senior player, so he penned a contract with the club, joined the main team and started to prepare himself for the season. Korey featured in several games of Norwich City, but those appearances could not be called frequent as he took part in 67 matches and netted 4 goals till January 2012.
In January 2012, Barnsley sent a request concerning the possibility of penning a loan contract with Smith and ‘The Canaries’ gave a positive answer after consulting with the footballer himself. That was a good opportunity for Korey to get permanent playing practice at a new place and his move to the temporary team was completed in short term. The player made 12 appearances for Barnsley during the second half of the 2011/2012 season.
After another loan spell with Yeovil Town Smith finally joined Oldham Athletic. In the summer 2014 Smith moved to Bristol City.
