A Togolese football player Kossi Agassa was born on 2 July 1978 in Lome. He is a goalkeeper of Reims. His jersey number is 16.
In 1990, Kossi got to the youth academy of Etoile Filante de Lome, where he was groomed for 7 years of his youth career, before being promoted to the senior level. His first professional contract was signed in 1997 with his feeder club, where he spent four years. In 2001, the goalkeeper moved to Africa Sports. In a year he became the player of FC Metz. The contract was signed for a term of three years. In total, he made 31 appearances for the club.
In 2006, he joined Spanish Hercules, but didn’t succeed in becoming the starting player. Only after 4 years spent with Stade Reims he managed to take the place in the starting XI. He was let on field 51 times. In 2008, he was sent on a year-long loan to Istres, where he made 19 appearances.
Agassa is one of the most experienced players of the Togo national team. He featured in 52 matches since 1998 and was caped to the 2006 World Cup. Once he had to undergo the operation to fix a cartilage injury. Since then he is often nicknamed Magic Hands.
