Kostas Fortounis. Biography

Konstantinos (Kostas) Fortounis is a professional Greek footballer currently playing as an attacking midfielder or winger for 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He was born on October 16, 1992 in Trikala, Greece.

Kostas Fortounis’s professional career started in 2008 when he joined Trikala FC. Over 2 seasons the young footballer took part in 30 games of the squad and netted 3 goals.

In 2010 the midfielder moved to Asteras Tripolis FC and scored once in 24 matches over one season.

In 2011 Kostas Fortounis signed up with the German side of 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The result of the 2011/2012 season was deplorable: the squad was relegated from the Fußball-Bundesliga to the 2. Fußball-Bundesliga.

Kostas Fortounis had played for the Greece national U19 and U21 football teams and in 2012 started to perform for the Greece national football team.
