Lamine Koné is a French footballer who plays for Lorient as a centre back. He was born on 1 February 1989 in Paris.
The starting point in his youth career dates back to 1998, when he was a trainee of SO Paris football academy. There he got his sport upbringings and first experience in game playing. In 2002, he continued the climbing to the senior career in US Alfortville. Having spent a year with the club he attracted attention of the scouts from Châteauroux who offered the player to change the football academy. Lamine accepted the offer.
For three years the footballer became an alumnus of the club’s youth academy. Châteauroux became an initial point in his professional career, as Lamine was promoted to the senior team of the club. The contract for a term of 4 years was penned. He didn’t become a first starter, sometimes staying on the bench. He made 74 appearances and went on to net 4 times by 2010.
In 2010, the French club Lorient signed Lamine Koné from Châteauroux. After settling all the maters, a four-year contract was accepted. Today, Lamine is a reserve player and features in the starting lineup sporadically.
From 2005 to 2010, the Frenchman was playing for national youth team of his motherland. He used to play at all levels, except U-16 level.
