Leonardo Neoren Franco is an Argentinean footballer and currently he plays for Real Zaragoza as a goalkeeper. He was born in 1977 in San Nicolás, Argentina.
Franco started his senior playing career with the Argentinean Club Atlético Independiente. When he was twenty years old, he left his homeland for Spain to join CP Mérida for one season and then he switched to RCD Mallorca. The first season he spent with Mallorca’s reserves and the following season Franco joined the main team. He featured in 27 La Liga games during the 2000/01 season, when Mallorca finish the league on the third position. In 2002/03 they won the Copa del Rey.
In 2004 Leo Franco moved to another Spanish team Atlético Madrid and played there until 2009 when he transferred to Galatasaray.
In 2010 he left the Turkish outfit for Real Zaragoza, where he made his debut in a 0-0 draw against Deportivo de La Coruña.
Franco was a part on the Under-20 national team when Argentina won the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship and later he was selected in the senior team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
